And then the food - horrible for the price. We were expecting a great meal based on the descriptions and expense. I've never had such dry, tasteless pork. (Although my friends prime rib was not bad). Had the manager stopped by I would have sent my food back for the first time ever. As it was we were sick of waiting for the server to check on us and just wanted to get out of there. Went elsewhere for dessert because I was still hungry! Won't be going back, obviously.
Good place to eat with fairly decent food. Service however can be sketchy so when I go I keep my expectations low.
Went on Thanksgiving for their set menu. Service was awful. It took forever to get drinks, server didn't listen and seemed very inexperienced. Each course of the meal was awful. The salad was truly, a pinch of lettuce one small apple slice and a chunk of cheese, the soup had so many sage leaves that you couldn't pick around it, unless you enjoy chewing on raw sage. The turkey was cold. The torte was certainly out of a box and over spiced. It was horrible and expensive. The next morning my parents went to breakfast, waited for twenty minutes (before 10:30) and finally were seated. Waited and waited (no one wanted to take their table) when they finally had a server come tell them they just stopped serving breakfast at 10:30. The cook had to be "sweet talked" to make a few eggs and bacon, even though they got there at ten and waited that long. Even when the food came and was practically tossed to them, still no one had even ask them if they wanted water. Mean while another huge table (big tip to look fwd to I'm sure) came in and had a full breakfast. I will NEVER, ever come back. This was awful and should be brought up to the owners. I'm reading a lot of similar reviews and as a daughter of a restaurant owner, who worked VERY hard to create a good name, this should upset and cause a major employee meeting and TRAINING. You need to act like your PAYING customers are the most important thing. Because it's our money keeping your doors open. This should never be allowed to happen, and when multiple ppl are saying the same thing, it won't be long before your 4* drops significantly.
Failed to meet expectations. Good food, but not as good as the price would suggest. Morning omelette was overdone and served with dry ham chunks. Dinner was a tenderloin and smashed potatos. Far too much salt, on everything. Steak ordered medium rare, arrived med. well. Nice and juicy, tender and flavorful cut. Asked for Maker's bourbon in my drink, got Jack Daniel's. $30 for a fairly small serving of steak and potatoes-- and $6 extra to split it.
We were there late morning on a Friday and they were not busy. Service was slow and the food (breakfast menu) was good but greasy. The waitress was great though. When she realized we had been waiting for awhile she went out of her way for us.
Came in on a quiet Friday night. There were 3 tables total with people at them, a few at the bar and 2 servers that I could see. It still ended up taking over 20 min for our server to bring our drinks, and another 15 before she came back for our order. Overall terrible service with a server who couldn't answer any questions about the food, we heard the next table from ours complain about the same thing to the manager, who then purposely avoided coming to our table (she rushed by and in passing asked if everything was ok. "Good? Good.")
